Senior Audit positions with Abu Dhabi government firms- UAE NATIONALS ONLY

JOB ROLE
• Risk assessing the operational processes at Mubadala (which includes subsidiaries, business units and corporate support units)
• Developing control policies and procedures tailored to Mubadala’s needs
• Performing audits and writing reports to the audit committee and senior management
• Providing oversight, direction and appropriate support to all Mubadala entities on our journey to achieve and maintain “Well Controlled”

Performance Management and Team Development
• Ensure the effective achievement of Internal Audit department objectives by maintaining job descriptions, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal training, informal feedback and appraisals - in order to maximise subordinate and the performance of the department.
• Provide informal feedback and coaching to all team members including peers and superiors, after each audit assignment, as part of the audit de-brief.
• Create Risk Registers and heat maps
• Create Process flow charts
• Identify Key Controls
• Develop Control Policies and Procedures
• Roll out new control policies and procedures
• Develop testing programs
• Manage the execution of internal audits
• Report the audit findings
• Track and report implementation progress

Knowledge & Experience:
• A university degree, preferably in business, engineering or law
• An internationally recognised accounting qualification, preferably a chartered accountant
• Big 4 background
• Relevant SOX experience - real hands-on doing experience - defined as:
• COSO risk assessment experience,
• Flowcharting and process mapping and (key) controls identification experience
• Experienced in an operating company
• Leading internal audit teams and managing internal audit functions
• Hands on experience in developing control policies and procedures
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as defined above. Experience in other areas will also be valued.

Skills

Skills:
• English report writing skills of mother tongue standard a MUST
• Able to manage outsourcing and co-sourcing with big 4 accounting firms to extract best value audit services
• Experience with CAATs, general IT audit skills and systems savvy highly valued
• Arabic language skills, speaking and reading in particular, highly valued but not mandatory
