1 TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1 Goal of the Function

To provide professional support to the operational Business concerning Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Monitoring and improvement of Quality KPIs.
Manage Reference Management System.

1.2 General

 Perform incoming inspections for noble parts.
 Ensure process validations at the supplier’s end.
 Ensure inspections at supplier locations wherever required.
 Ensure Supplier Qualification based on criteria.
 Ensure supplier development on Quality issues.
 Provide support on interpretation/ implementation of external standards.
 Ensure that directives, external codes, standards and legal requirements are understood by relevant functions.
 Review project specific I&T plans/ requirements.
 Assist in product qualification process wherever required.
 Periodic monitoring of Quality KPIs (process performance) and putting in place actions in co-ordination with relevant functions to ensure improvement in performance.
 Tracking and reporting of (product quality) NCR’s and CoPQ along with taking corrective/ preventive actions based on root causes.
 Tracking of project non-conformances with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
 Co-ordinate Quality Improvement meetings and implement actions identified.
 Maintain Reference Management System.
 Maintain Quality Records.
 Track Quality Objectives.
 Maintain process NCRs in Alstom track and track technical NCRs in NCR Database.
 Analyse NCRs/ drill down/ Root Cause analysis
 Perform Internal Quality Audits.
 Review of Management System documents in order to ensure continuing suitability.
 Track iNexus for improvement actions.
 Support on Balancing offers.
 Execution of balancing from preparation to final tests.

2 AUTHORITIES

 Authority to act independently within the scope of targets set and tasks and responsibilities assigned.
 The right to implement interruption of any activity if this is necessary to meet the Q - requirements.
 Access to documents and information relevant to quality including process documents.

Skills

4.1 Education, Training

 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
 SAP training, an advantage
 Knowledge of DIN/ ISO/ ASME
 Specialist quality management training including ISO 9001, practical QA, Six Sigma

4.2 Experience

 Technical experience in power plant engineering, field service or operations.
 Experience in Quality Assurance.
 Team player
 Act proactively with respect to the assigned tasks.
 Knowledge on SAP and working experience on other Tier 1 or 2 IT tools, an advantage
 Root Cause Analysis, Drill down tree, Pareto etc. Quality tools

4.3 Further Skills / Abilities

 Languages (oral and written) English a must.
 Good knowledge of MS-Office and SAP.
 Planning and organization skills.
