New Supermarket - Store Manager

Responsible for running stores or departments to meet the company’s targets and policies. The aim of the retail manager is to maximize profit while minimizing costs. You will ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards, staff are fully versed on the target for the day and excellent customer care standards are met.


Retail Store Manager Job Duties:
• The ability to lead and motivate a team to increase sales
• Display analytical and decision making ability on the shop floor
• Have a sense of responsibility and follow up
• Provide excellent communication and 'people' skills
• A strong commitment to customer service
• Verse staff on the target for the day and ensure excellent customer care standards are met
• Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
• Organizing training and staff development
• Attending and chairing meetings
• Planning, monitoring, following up and appraising job results.
• Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards
• Understand and implement health and safety issues
• Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits

Skills

Must Have:
• Previous experience in Food Retail
• Good literacy and numerical skills
• Speak fluent English
• Must be adaptable to change in rostered schedule
• Confidence, drive and enthusiasm
• The ability to understand and analyze sales figures
• Checkable references

A new food retail market opening in the UAE with locations in Abu Dhabi.

We will add value to the current stale crop of supermarkets in the region with stylish stores, quality products and an ethos of excellent customer service.

We are currently recruiting for all positions, including Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Senior Grocery, Admin & Inventory, Head Chef, Baker.

Our first store is due to open in Dubai, July 2012, with further openings scheduled.
