MANAGER of FINANCE
Prince Sultan Advanced Technologies Institute

Reporting to the Director for Operations, the Manager of Finance is responsible for the development and implementation of financial planning, policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., for payroll, bookkeeping, insurance, budget and cost control, accounting functions, and financial reporting), monitoring financial performance against the organization’s goals, supporting and developing the Office staff members, and advising senior leadership and other internal stakeholders on financial management.

Experience/Education Requirements :

• Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in financial planning, analysis, and administration, with progressive leadership experience preferably in a research institute or similar organization
• Experience with complex financial systems
• Managerial experience

Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting, reimbursement, financial reporting and preparation of financial statements, preferably for research institutes
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis and management best practices
• Excellent budgeting and cost control skills
• High level of working knowledge of automated accounting/financial systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under time constraints
• Strong problem-solving and team-building skills
• Aptitude for communication and facilitation
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to be part of a new research institute
