Job Summary

Performs design computations, compiles data, and elementary architectural assignments. Also responsible for preparing estimates and architectural plans as requested, Clarifies the mission and vision for the site, balancing the needs of its sponsoring organization and the needs of its audiences, Determines what content and functionality the site will contain. Assist the User Experience team in defining the user flow, process flow, site content, navigational structures for customer web sites schematic layouts, conceptual design and information architectures and taxonomies for web-based applications.

Functions and Responsibilities

-Develop thorough, realistic plans that support organizational objectives
-Understand customer business models and goals and help define strategy, content, and features for design of their web site.
-Analyze audiences and their information and functional needs -Define site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built
-Create wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specification, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience
-Keep up to date on emerging technology and usability research
-Create system usability guidelines, design guidelines, and GUI prototypes
-Understand web analytics, best practices
-Create the best possible, consistent user experience

Skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Strong knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web design (HTML, CSS).
-Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
-Working knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and Practices
-Exceptional communication skills
-Good leadership and interpersonal skills
-Detail-oriented
-Knowledge of architecture-related software (Visio, MS Office, Acrobat, Dreamweaver)

Education, Training and Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or some related discipline required.
-A minimum of 1 year of working experience desired.
