HEAD OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS
C&F Group Consultant International LTD
OUR CLIENT is a leading SME lender based in the GCC. We are looking for a candidate to suit the role of Head of Accounts. The purpose of this position is to perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations and reports.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1- Central Bank Reporting
• Prepare early alert reports for issues that may cause a violation of central bank limits and rules
• Analyze the reports and advise MIS unit on findings and recommendations
• Perform the following reports:
➢ Capital adequacy reports including table number 11 of tier tow capital details.
➢ Table number 10 and other provision details
• Perform reporting to the ALCO Committee on the following:
➢ Summary of Capital Adequacy reports
➢ Concentration and high value exposures
➢ Summary of Nonperforming assets and provisions
➢ Limit breaches
• Liaise with internal and external auditors for QCB reporting purposes to ensure all information required is made available in a timely manner
• Deliver all reports according to the time frame set by management
2. GL Reconciliations
• Follow up the reconciliation and ensure that no reconciled items are pending without actions
• Review the reconciliation details and is there on a timely manner
• Accuracy and timeliness of all reconciliation
• No pending items outstanding for more than on month
3. MIS Reporting
• Review the calculation of the yield and the rate of return
• Undertake detailed review of management reports
• Prepare the periodic management information reports
required by the Bank’s management to understand the financial performance of the Bank, ensuring accuracy and completion of information
• Undertake detailed review of the profitability reports
• Undertake detailed review of the monthly KPIs reports and present to management
• Periodically compare bank results with market benchmarks
• Prepare quarterly board presentations that reflect banks performance with related advices.
• Review the daily management reports that include position of bank assets, liabilities, shareholders equities and Profit & Loss statement
• Conduct Profit / Cost center analysis and provide relevant information for inclusion in management reports
• Review monthly exception reports
• Provide input to the development of appropriate policies and procedures
• Deliver all reports according to the time-frame set my management
• No complaints received from other department concerning accuracy or timeliness of reports
• Automation of all reports as per the management plan
4. Monitoring and Controlling
• Determine requirements for the budget information system and oversee the implementation
• Review actuals with the budget and check the available fund
• Monitor anomalies and if actuals/budget usage is being exceeded and if so freeze funds
• Investigate case and if warranted allocate in budget and get the required approval
• Prepare amendment to budget
• Early detection of anomaly and timely follow up and investigation of discrepancy
• Awareness of and transparency of budget utilization
5. Budget Preparation
• Lead budget development process through distribution of objectives and information collections templates
• Present draft budget to Financial controller and rework budgets based on his feedback
• Collate, review and finalize budget
• Distribute budgets for implementation
• Prepare and supervise the 5 years strategy plan with high level estimation of profitability
• Assist department heads in their budget queries (preparation of budget estimates, analyzing budget variances, and finalization of budgets)
• Ensure that the bank budget is in compliance with banks strategies
• Review monthly budget variance reports
• Feedback on quality of analysis and accuracy and clarity of budget explanations
Skills
Technical Skills
• In-depth knowledge and application of accounting principles and processes
• Knowledge of QCB rules and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data and provide justification
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Fluent in Arabic and English

Education
CMA; CPA or MBA (Finance) BSc or BA in a financial discipline
