We seek an individual who is capable of starting and operating a full-service real estate investment firm in the Middle East.
The Client:
Our client is a wealthy South American family that would like to make a shift in their real estate investment from that region to the Middle East. They are members of the Forbes list of wealthiest South Americans. The client's real estate holdings include: Office, mixed use developments, multi-family, industrial, retail and major land holdings. Our client has significant investments across many industries in North and South America, Mexico, Africa, Europe, Caribbean. The family's holdings are managed from 13 offices located in South America (4), Mexico (1), Europe (3), Africa (1), Caribbean (1) and North America (3). At this time, they have limited investments in the Middle East, with the exception of oil and gas. Their holdings in oil and gas are mostly equipment manufacturing and leasing as well as ownership in a highly respected energy consulting firm.
Position Overview:
The candidate must be a Real Estate Professional with Private Equity experience and the ability to start and operate a company in the MENA region to raise money from investors to acquire, reposition and sell properties for profit throughout the Middle East region. Transactional experience is necessary.
In the first 12-18 months, the candidate will be expected to accomplish the following:
• Establish an office in the Middle East
• Form a private equity fund
• Identify and recruit potential investors
• Identify potential properties for investment

We would like at least 10 years experience in the private equity real estate industry including:
•Raising equity from investors to purchase properties
•Creating and managing real estate investment funds
•Experience in property acquisition transactions, advisory, development or management
•Acquiring properties and performing due diligence including market research, investment analysis and contract negotiations.
•Managing a portfolio of properties including asset management, developing and implementing repositioning strategies and financial reporting to investors
•Lived and traveled overseas
•Dual citizenship (US, Middle Eastern country preferred)
•Proficiency in Arabic reading, writing and language skills
Education
Undergraduate degree in real estate, business, finance, marketing or accounting. An MBA would be a
