Skills

• Extensive experience of the build and configuration of Microsoft SQL Server
• Proven experience in monitoring and tuning databases to provide a high availability service
• Good working knowledge of Transactional SQL, Stored Procedures and Data Interface technologies
• Experience of managing MS SQL Server security and backup
• Knowledge of storage and SAN technologies
• 2 -3 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• 2-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Experience with, 2-3 tier server-client computing and relational database environments
• Experience with data management and data processing flow charting techniques
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
• Should be Microsoft qualified or a willingness to undertake or complete such study and/or proven experience of operating at an equivalent level within a SQL Server service delivery environment.
