Bakery Plant Manager

The Role

Working at our prestigious Bakery operation; the Bakery Plant manager will be responsible for the production of our key bakery products in terms of quality and quantity to agreed financial and budgetary targets. You will be an experienced bakery plant manager with a demonstrable career path of achievements within a large volume bakery environment. Efficiency is pivotal to this role as you will not only be responsible for the timely production of our product range but also responsible for managing the materials and manpower requirements. Reporting directly to the operations manager and managing a team of production managers and supervisors you will work closely in conjunction with Marketing, engineering, procurement, finance, quality and other departments

Key Responsibilities

Manage production of quality bread baked products
Manage packaging of products in a high volume automated plant
Continuous supply of products to agreed timeframes
Health and safety champion.
Establishing and enhancing plant SOP’s
Financial control and budgetary responsibility
Quality assurance procedures
To Identify and plan technical skill base through training and recruitment

Skills

Candidates without the following will not be considered

Degree in food or bakery science
Minimum 10 year’s management experience within a high volume bakery environment
SAP experience
Excellent People management skills
Excellent report writing skills
